Inspirée d'un voyage à Cuba, la série Coma Libré propose un questionnement sur le rapport à l'autre.
Sur la trame de fond d'un tourisme de masse aux airs d'exotisme superficiel, une série de portraits inachevés et isolés les uns des autres. Ils sont déconnectés, mais en relation malgré tout, les débuts esquissés de relations sans suites. Défigurés par une mise en scène artificielle, les personnages sont loin de leur quotidien, délestés de leurs responsabilités morales...
Sont-ils en dialogues?
Y a t'il échange?
Une rencontre authentique est-elle possible quand l'autre est perçu comme un attrait et sa culture un bien de consommation?

Inspired by a trip to Cuba, Coma Libré is a series of paintings questioning our relationship to others.

Up against the backdrop of mass tourism and superficial exotism, a series of unfinished portraits are isolated from one another. They are disconnected, but in relation nonetheless; the first hint of a possible relationship. Disfigured by the staging of such a fake environment, they are far from everyday life, temporarily unburdened of their moral responsabilities...

Are they in dialogue?
Is the relation mutual?
Is an authentic connection possible when the other is perceived as a attraction and his culture a consumer commodity?
